Mega Evolution

In my headcanon, mega evolution borrows strength from a trainer, and that's the only reason a trainer is needed. What's to stop Haru's parents from working together to mega evolve each other as needed?

(Also, your bit about the ribbons makes me imagine some farm or something, where mons are forced to mega evolve, clothes are removed, and then resold or something.)

(ACTUALLY, that could maybe be another chaps thing. They're regularly taking clothes off Pokemon, (when said mons HAVE clothes,) so imagine if they could “harvest” said clothes. For others to wear. Or even, cut up/resew into other things.)

Would have to be the pokemon itself donating. A forced setup toes *way* too close to abuse.
