• Leaf would've met Mewtwo in Cerulean Cave and caught him with a Master Ball
• From there, Leaf and Mewtwo would've traveled the Pokemon world together, only to return to Cerulean Cave once a year.
• Leaf and Mewtwo have a secret base in Cerulean Cave, which has a hidden main entrance and a back entrance.
• Mewtwo has previously been enslaved by Giovanni before he escaped to Cerulean Cave. And when Leaf caught Mewtwo with a Master Ball, she gets targeted by Team Rocket some time later. A gang of grunts show up without warning and corner Leaf with the intention to snatch Mewtwo away from her. She refuses to hand him over even with Grunts restraining her. Leaf manages to stash the Master Ball under her clothes to hopefully foil their attempts, for one of the Grunts orders the other Team Rocket grunts to subject Leaf to gangrape. Mewtwo emerges from the Master Ball, and pummels all of the Grunts hard before he moves Leaf to a secluded area. Mewtwo assures Leaf that she shouldn't blame herself for what she almost went through and tells her that he didn't want her to suffer like he has. Before that point, Mewtwo would be initially hesitant to see Leaf as his trainer. But after he saved her, he accepted the idea of staying by her side.
• Leaf would've taken a week or two to recover from the incident while packing to leave for the Johto Region, and she planned to take Mewtwo with her.
• Leaf and Mewtwo would have their first romantic kiss when Leaf is 17
• Leaf and Mewtwo start having sex on Leaf's 19th birthday
• Once Leaf and Mewtwo made their relationship official, they founded the Kanto branch of the Pokephiliacs club
